December 21, 2009 - Cambridge City Councilors have voted unanimously to adopt the Stretch Energy Code. The new code – aimed to enforce energy efficient guidelines for new renovations and newly constructed buildings – will go into effect on July 1, 2010.

The formal vote was on Policy Order 11. The Council also received Committee Report 1 from the December 9, 2009 meeting of the Council’s Health and Environment Committee on this issue.
